The fabric comes from Manteco, a family business that has been reclaiming and reweaving wool in the region north of Florence since 1943. Wool has been recycled in this textile district since the 1850s. The merino wool gives the fabric warmth and texture, while the polyamide content provides durability. The sturdy weave gives the coat a calm, clean line that it retains even after many winters. It is manufactured in small batches in a workshop in Rothenthurm, Canton Schwyz.
