The new Livipro® winter mask from the Swiss Mask Force

The Swiss Mask Force fights against COVID-19 on the ski slopes. We teamed up with hä? Wear and Unrepa in order to offer the best possible winter mask together.

The COVID-19 pandemic poses existential problems for people and companies in Switzerland, with previously unimagined challenges. Instead of working against each other, we decided, with Unrepa from Thurgau and Hä? Wear from Valais, to work together to ensure more protection and safety for Swiss people in winter. Together we developed theLivipro® Tube Mask , which optimally protects the wearer: inside and around.

3 companies, 3 cantons and 1 goal: More safety and back to normal

All three companies were the main players in the Swiss winter mask market last year. Each company developed its own mask model and successfully sold it to numerous winter sports enthusiasts. Even the large ski regions ( Valais / Wallis Promotion , Arosa-Lenzerheide , Adelboden-Lenk , Saas-Fee , Crans Montana , etc.) use masks to offer guests more protection and safety on the slopes.

Who invented it? Mask development with a Swiss spirit of innovation

Although we all did not offer masks before, we reacted independently of one another to the need for protection of the Swiss. With a spirit of innovation and creativity, we wrote a small Swiss success story.

Made in Switzerland - washable and high above the Swiss norm

In order to significantly increase the protection of the Swiss with masks, the merger followed in the summer of 2021. The stated goal: to join forces to develop the best mask and at the same time strengthen Switzerland as a business location. The focus was never on individual interests, but always on the optimal solution. And it is impressive.

The flagship is the Livipro® Tube Mask . Not only does it meet the high standards of the Swiss standard (SNR 30000: 2021), it also sets new standards. Although the winter mask can be washed 50 times, it filters aerosol trophies 10 times smaller than required in Switzerland. The standard applicable in the EU for community masks is even exceeded by a factor of 30.

Further products in planning

The Swiss Mask Force is just the beginning: The joint mask solution is the starting point for further and future-oriented projects. "We are already planning new products because the different expertise and strengths of the three companies complement each other perfectly", says Dario Pirovino from Muntagnard. Accordingly, innovations in the textile and sustainability sector can be expected in the future, which would not have come about without the COVID-19 pandemic.
