The golden rules for care
Less is more
A credo that is true in so many areas of life can also have a huge impact on clothing. By washing less often, we can not only extend the life of our clothes, but also conserve resources and
reduce environmental impact. In addition, the colors stay vibrant longer.
Naturally dry
Drying textiles in the air is gentler on the clothing as it puts less strain on the fibers and the colors stay fresh longer. To do this, take the item of clothing out of the washing machine after washing, shape it by hand and let it air dry. Make sure that you do not expose it to direct sunlight as this can lead to unsightly discoloration of the fibers.
Wash carefully
To wash your laundry carefully, we recommend sorting the laundry by color and material, using the right detergent according to the care labels, turning the product inside out and selecting the recommended washing temperature. To ensure thorough cleaning, make sure not to overfill the washing machine and select a lower temperature. Modern detergents and machines are designed in such a way that in most cases washing temperatures of 30 degrees and less are sufficient. A nice side effect is that you also save energy and money.
Natural care products
To protect not only your clothes but also the environment when washing, choose environmentally friendly detergent. When choosing, make sure that it does not contain bleach or softeners, that you choose the right dosage and that the detergent is suitable for the material to be washed.

Wood fibres (Lyocell)
Everything you need to know to properly care for your wood fiber clothing.
Care
Check the care label before the wash. In general, however, you can proceed as follows:
Our wood -based fiber (Lyocell) is a very delicate natural fiber and should be washed at a deeper temperature (max. 30 ° C). In order to protect the fibers from excessive sling, it is advisable to use the wool, hand, fine gear. For the ideal protection in the washing machine, the product can be placed in a washing bag.
Use a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics and avoid bleach, fabric softener or detergents with strong chemicals as they can damage the wood fibres. For heavier soiling, we recommend dabbing the stains with the appropriate detergent or, for white T-shirts, with gall soap and a damp cloth. Leave the product to work for an hour and then wash as recommended.
To preserve the quality of the product, we recommend that you do not tumble dry it. Instead, take the garment out of the washing machine immediately after washing, shape it by hand and let it air dry, not in direct sunlight. This will reduce wrinkles and make the garment easier to iron after drying, or even eliminate the need for ironing altogether.
We recommend ironing only when absolutely necessary. If possible, use a steamer, as steam treatment is gentler than using an iron. If you don't have a steamer, set the iron to natural fibers and use the lowest temperature possible. Lay the garment flat on the ironing board, inside out. Avoid applying too much pressure. Lightly steaming with the iron can help reduce wrinkles without overheating the material.

Whether on the clothes or stacked on top of each other, keep your clothes correctly by protecting them from sun, moisture and dirt.

Care
To be on the safe side, check the care label before washing. In general, however, you can proceed as follows:
Our cotton products can be washed in the washing machine at 40°C, but we always recommend washing at a maximum of 40°C. To protect the fibers from excessive spinning, we recommend using the wool, hand or delicate wash cycle. For ideal protection in the washing machine, the product can be placed in a laundry bag.
Use a fine detergent that is suitable for sensitive substances and avoid bleach, fabric softener or detergent with strong chemicals because they can damage the cotton fibers. For coarser pollution, we recommend dabbed the stains with the right detergent, or with white T-shirts with bile soap, and dab a damp rag. Let the product work for an hour and then wash it as recommended.

Our products made of merino wool and wood fibers can also be washed in the washing machine due to the special treatment. However, be sure to use the hand or wool wash cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees and fill the drum no more than halfway. For ideal protection in the washing machine, the product can also be placed in a washing bag.
Woolen garments are best dried flat. To do this, lay the garment over a towel and gently knead it into shape with your hand to remove as many
Remove any creases or folds as much as possible. Avoid exposing the products to direct sunlight as this can weaken the fibers. Do not tumble dry the products as this can cause shrinkage.
If folds occur in a piece of clothing, we recommend it to gently evaporate it with the steamer, since treatment with steam is gentler than the use of a iron. If you don't have a steamer in your household, you can also iron the product very gently on the inside. Set the iron to a maximum temperature of 105 ° C.
Use a wool detergent,
that is suitable for delicate fabrics and avoid bleach, fabric softeners or detergents with strong chemicals as they can damage the fine fibers.
For heavier soiling, we recommend dabbing the stain with the appropriate detergent or, for white fabrics, with gall soap and a damp rag. Leave the product to work for an hour and then wash as recommended.

Wool (Jackets & Coats)
Everything you need to know about caring for your wool coat or Swiss wool jacket.
Care
Check the care label before cleaning to make sure you are caring for your product properly. However, in general, you can follow these steps:
Our LANA wool jackets and wool coats should not be washed like conventional products. Wool, as a natural product, has self-cleaning properties and is very easy to care for. We recommend cleaning the jacket only when it is really necessary. To get rid of odors, it is often enough to air the product on a hanger in the fresh air.
Due to the leather details, we recommend consulting a leather specialist for cleaning. The wool jackets should never be washed in your own washing machine or tumble dried. Dry cleaning or bleaching is also strictly not recommended.
In the event of dirt, we only recommend doyaling the stain with water for the first time, at most with a little wool detergent and a damp rag. Avoid friction and make sure not to damage the delicate wool fiber.
It is best to hang LANA wool jackets and wool coats on a wide hanger to dry. Avoid exposing the products to direct sunlight
as this can weaken the fibres.
If folds occur with a Lana product, we recommend it to venter with the steamer, since treatment with steam is gentler than the use of a iron. If you don't have a steamer in your household, you can also iron the product very gently on the inside. Set the iron to a maximum temperature of 105 ° C. The leather details should definitely be left out.
storage
Whether on the clothes or stacked on top of each other, keep your clothes correctly by protecting them from sun, moisture and dirt.
Make sure that you use a wide and suitable clothing bar for coats if you store your garment on the clothes bar longer.
Use moth repellents such as mothballs, lavender or cedar sachets in your closet. Make sure your closet is well ventilated and free of moisture, as moths prefer humid environments.

Functional clothing
Everything you need to know to properly care for your functional clothing.
Care
Check the care label before washing to make sure you are caring for your product properly. However, in general, you can follow these steps:
Our MIUtec Iso products can be washed in the washing machine. Use the sports or gentle cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Turn the jacket inside out before washing and close all zips to protect the insulation. We recommend washing the Iso products once per season.
An exception is the MIUtec Re:Down jacket: it should only be professionally cleaned.
Use a sports detergent that is suitable for sensitive substances and avoid bleach, fabric softener or detergent with strong chemicals because they can damage the cotton fibers.
In the case of stubborn dirt, we recommend dabbed the stains with the right detergent and a damp cloth. Let the product work for an hour and then wash it as recommended.
To dry, hang your Iso products on a thicker hanger or lay the product flat, avoiding direct sunlight.
If wrinkles appear on a MIUtec ISO product, we recommend treating them with a steamer, as treatment with steam is gentler than using an iron.

cashmere
Find out everything you need to know about caring for your cashmere products.
Care
Check the care label before washing to make sure you are caring for your product properly. However, in general, you can follow these steps:
Cashmere products are very suitable for "cleaning" in the fresh air (ideal when it's raining) so that the wool can "eliminate" the smells itself. If you want to wash your cashmere product, you should never put it in the washing machine . We therefore recommend cleaning the clothing by hand in cold or lukewarm water (max. 30°C) inside out. Avoid kneading or rubbing the clothing too hard to prevent matting.
Use a special cashmere detergent that is suitable for such delicate fabrics and avoid bleach, fabric softeners or detergents with strong chemicals as these can damage the fine fibers.
For stubborn stains, we recommend dabbing the stain with the appropriate detergent or, for white fabrics, with gall soap and a damp cloth. Leave the product to work for an hour and then wash as recommended.
It is best to dry cashmere garments flat. To do this, lay the garment over a towel and gently knead it into shape with your hand to
Remove as many creases or wrinkles as possible. Avoid exposing the products to direct sunlight as this can weaken the fibers.
The products must not be put in the dryer as this may cause shrinkage.
If wrinkles appear on a product made of cashmere fibers, we recommend treating them with a steamer, as treatment with steam is gentler than using an iron. If you don't have a steamer at home, you can also iron the product very gently on the inside. Set the iron to a maximum temperature of 110°C.
storage
Since our cashmere products are exclusively knitted items made from natural fibers, proper storage is all the more important.
Knitwear should never be hung on a hanger or in any other way, but should be carefully folded and stored in a stack in the wardrobe. Make sure that too many products are not stacked on top of each other, as this can lead to creasing.
To protect your clothes from moths, you should clean them regularly, as moths prefer dirt and sweat. Use moth repellents such as mothballs, lavender or cedarwood sachets in your closet. Make sure your closet is well ventilated and free of moisture, as moths prefer humid environments.
