RETHINKING TEXTILES (IN 1 MIN.)

According to the literature innovation (literally "innovation" or "renewal") mostly understood in the sense of new ideas and inventions (English "Invention") and their economic implementation. In the narrower sense, an idea only becomes innovation if it is implemented in the form of new products, services or procedures that actually apply and penetrate the market. So when are you innovative as a textile company and when do you follow a trend?

We think innovation is often associated with a considerable risk and therefore a good dose of courage. If you want to be innovative, you have to be ready to think differently and venture into unknown waters. We do not see ourselves per se as inventor or the Daniel jet drive of the textile industry, but as an open-minded player who dares to question the status quo and look outside the box. If we do not find an existing solution on the market, we do not shy away from the effort to tackle an in -house development ourselves. For example, we found no usable fabric made of 100% Swiss wool on the market. In fact, such were apparently completely displaced by synthetic and merino wool. Our in -house development from Swiss sheep's wool is therefore not a disruptive "new" innovation, but still a complete new development, because this product has not been found anywhere. For this reason, we completely rebuilt the entire value chain for our own Munagnard Swiss Lana fabric in a two -year development process. So an approximately 1.3km long jacket fabric turned from 1.25 tons of Swiss. In doing so, we primarily wanted to revive the use of a great raw material that has been forgotten and pushed back a little in recent decades and show that this raw material is also a wonderful end product - our own Munagnard Swiss Lana fabric -can produce.

Also our T-shirt Legna, the first certified plastic-free garment in the world (according to flustix) is basically not a groundbreaking innovation. Of course, there were only plastic -free products before using synthetic. Today, however, it is standard that even if, for example, "100% cotton" should be on it, unfortunately not 100% cotton in it. The special on T-shirt Legna It is therefore that not only all components in the T-shirt are plastic-free, which is difficult to find today. Rather, everything - the fabric, the sewing yarn, the care labels - consists of just one fiber. This designed the T-shirt Legna for the circular economy, because it is not only biodegradable, but also as easy as possible in the current recycling system.

We always strive to rethink products from material to function in order to develop the best possible version. This may often be the more tedious and longer way that many do not seem to be ready. For us, however, we see the central authorization to establish ourselves in the textile market and to produce products "differently". For us, it is secondary whether we are developing something completely new, in cooperation with other organizations push an innovation or simply combine and use innovative, marketable products and solutions to others to a new overall product. We want to create high -quality, stylish and comfortable products for people who, like us, go their own way and look outside the box to promote sustainable development.
