Swiss Wool Reimagined
Swiss wool was for a long time a raw material that was barely used. Too elaborate to process, too irregular in quality.
For us, it was a starting point and a groundbreaking challenge.
Together with specialized partners in Switzerland and Northern Italy, we have developed our own fabric - made from pure Swiss wool.

From Alpine Sheep to Fabric
The wool comes from white alpine sheep. Collected from farmers throughout Switzerland, sorted in Huttwil, and washed according to GOTS standards.
The fiber is stronger than merino wool because it has grown in harsh conditions. This is precisely where its strength and uniqueness lie.
Through processing, it becomes a fabric that naturally warms, is breathable, and requires no synthetic additives.

The LANA Fabric
The Muntagnard Swiss LANA fabric is the result of over two years of development. Countless prototypes. Adjustments in yarn, weave, and weight. The result is a fabric with a clear structure and a smooth drape – created for precise cuts and lasting shape. Tradition and innovation don't just meet here. They work together.

Swiss production
The coats and jackets made from the exclusive LANA fabric are produced in Rothenthurm. In a manufactory that still embodies Swiss craftsmanship today.
Short distances. Direct exchange. Clear responsibility. For us, Swiss Made is not just a label. It is part of the decision and an expression of our commitment to quality.
The Swiss wool coat
The first LANA coat was also Muntagnard's first product.
Years later, it remains true to its material and approach. With careful optimizations, not changes.
A piece designed for durability and that will always be part of Muntagnard.
Construction from four bio-based elements
LANA does not only stand for wool. But for a consistent choice of materials.
